Michigan Truck Accident Involving Passenger Bus Leaves 22 Injured

A Michigan Truck Accident involving a passenger bus earlier this month left almost two-dozen people seriously injured. Reports indicate the crash happened at around 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, August 1, along the westbound lanes of I-94 near Galesburg, Michigan.

According to an article released by The Times Herald, the tractor-trailer was attempting to merge onto the highway just past Exit 88 when the bus suddenly plowed into the rear of the truck. The impact caused the vehicles to become entangled in one another, forcing the truck driver to skid several hundred feet before being able to pull over to the side of the highway.

A total of 22 people were injured and requiring medical treatment as a result of the crash. The injuries passengers suffered ranged from minor cuts and bruises treated at the scene to critical injuries that required hospitalization.

The incident highlights the serious dangers commercial vehicles can present to motorists. Experts say that a majority of these accidents are the result of driver errors or faulty equipment.

The Michigan Personal Injury Lawyers with Michigan Injury Lawyers point out that neither of these factors takes responsibility away from the driver who caused the crash or the company who hired them.
