Michigan Injury Lawyers to Offer Bi-Yearly College Scholarship

Home >> Michigan Injury Lawyers to Offer Bi-Yearly College Scholarship

Helping students meet their financial needs

The Michigan personal injury law firm Michigan Injury Lawyers is happy to announce that it will be awarding a $500 bi-yearly scholarship to a student who is planning to attend a college or university during the 2016-2017 academic year. As an attorney who attended Michigan State University for both his undergraduate studies and for law school, founding partner Thomas L. Stroble understands the value of higher education. He also understands that the ever-rising costs of a quality college or university education make it more and more difficult for many families and students to pursue their dreams of obtaining a degree. As a result, his law firm has decided to offer its first-ever scholarship essay competition to help students pay for the costs associated with obtaining an education.

Scholarship eligibility and the essay competition

In order to participate in the competition, an applicant must either be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university or be planning to enroll in the Spring of 2017. In order to apply, applicants must write a 500-word essay on the following topic:

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported more than 10,000 people died in alcohol-impaired driving accidents. What precautions and alternative options can college students take to prevent drinking and driving?

Essays will be judged on the quality of the writing and the potential the applicant demonstrates for success in a field of study related to law. Our attorneys will choose a winner and notify the applicant via email. In order to apply, applicant should send their essays as an attachment to stroblescholarship@gmail.com by April 20, 2017. We will announce the winner on or around April 30, 2017.

Applicants should also include the following information in the body of their email:

  • Their full name, address, and phone number
  • The college or university they are attending or plan to attend
  • Their program of study
  • A link to their Facebook, LinkedIn, or Google Plus profile

We would like to congratulate Sydnee Shanks for winning the Fall 2016 bi-annual scholarship! Congratulations, Sydnee!
