Subsequently, little Haiden was born with severe brain damage and had to be airlifted to Lackland Airforce Base in San Antonio.
Higinio Rivera was an active duty servicemen serving at Ft Hood at the time of his son’s birth. He and his family have since moved to Michigan. After suing the government, a settlement was reached and a total of 6.5 million dollars was approved by the judge overseeing the case.
